Between February 9th and 11th, two JLK members Vaiva Guogaite and Giedre Prievelyte were attending an advanced planning visit of “EUROPE is difference” project in Sisak town, Croatia. During the visit members of JLK were discussing and developing plans for the upcoming international exchanges. We have some good news for the Rokiskis youngsters – they are going to have a chance to participate in two youth exchanges full of activities and interesting challenges. One of those exchanges will be based in Croatia and another one – in Portugal. The aim of the project is to get to know Europe through the cultural differences, traditions, sports and various other activities. This adventure starts on April 10th, when Lithuanian representatives are going to start rock climbing, bicycle riding and a lot of other interesting activities together with their new friends from Lithuania, Croatia, Portugal and Norway.
Youth exchanges – it’s a unique opportunity to not only get to know other countries, but also to meet 40 new friends. It’s an opportunity to find oneself, to step out of your comfort zone, to see the world from a different perspective. This project has already given a lot of new experiences and discoveries.
